Recently an acquaintance of mine, a friend I met in PCB (Panama City Beach) five
years ago, complained of bumping her head after indulging in Hunch Punch at a favorite watering hole. Then she commented she'd
had too much fun.
But I question, is there such a thing?
According to The Free Dictionary fun is
1. A source of enjoyment,
amusement, or pleasure.
2. Enjoyment; amusement: have fun at the beach.
3. Playful, often noisy, activity.
To behave playfully; joke.
If you know me well, you know
I LOVE to dance. I will clarify this with the fact that even though I love to dance, I am the one person in the World
who cannot participate in any prescribed steps, e.g. line dancing. If I’m told or expected to place one foot in any
type of pattern, to move in unison, to slide, dip, turn, and sway – well, it’s never gonna happen. But let me
free-style, improvise my moves, and the girl can cut a rug!!
But let’s get back to fun, shall we? One person’s fun could be another’s boredom.
My fun, as I dance the night away and get low (and hopefully back up), might be an unexciting and mind-numbing event for some.
Not so much for me. Some of the best times of my life, the most fun-filled times, have been evenings of dancing the night
away. Sigh. Memories.
Of all my fun-filled memories, I can’t remember once ever having too much fun,
because the more fun I have, I remember why I love life.
So here’s to all of you having too much fun and loving
